Union finance minister Arun Jaitley after chairing the 22nd GST council meet of Friday announced a slew of reforms including change in GST rates of several items.
The GST Council also raised the turnover threshold to Rs 1 crore for businesses to avail of the composition scheme that allows them to pay 1-5 per cent tax without going through tedious formalities.
Here is the list of items for which the GST rates have been changed.
Rice rubber rolls for paddy dehusking machine
Idols of wood, stone [including marble] and metals [other than those made of precious metals]
Tableware and Kitchenware of wood
Statues, statuettes, pedestals; high or low reliefs, crosses, figures of animals, bowls, vases, cups, cachou boxes, writing sets, ashtrays, paper weights, artificial fruit and foliage, etc.; other ornamental goods essentially of stone
Tableware, kitchenware, other household articles and toilet articles, other than of porcelain or china
Statues and other ornamental articles
Bells, gongs and the like, nonelectric, of base metal; statuettes and other ornaments, of base metal; photograph, picture or similar frames, of base metal; mirrors of base metal; metal bidriware
Nozzles for drip irrigation equipment or nozzles for sprinklers
Computer monitors between 17 to 20 inches
